Vegan Basic Overnight Oat Recipe!

Raw Overnight Oats, or Museli to be proper, is one of my favorite ways to get really creative for breakfast! The possibilities are endless. I took basic muesli and topped it with my Pink Pineapple Pitaya Perfection Smoothie to make this delicious Breakfast Sundae.

Museli was developed around 1900 by Swiss physician, Dr. Bircher (Bircher Museli, ahhh yes now I get it!).  Dr. Bircher went against the acceptable medical practice of the time, which was to thoroughly cook all food.  He introduced a small bowl full of raw rolled oats and raw apple as an appetizer before most meals. He named it “Museli,” and this dish he introduced is now a popular European meal.  Wildly enough, back then doctors were walking out of his lectures to show their disapproval of this uncooked food catastrophe!
