Hero who saved 669 kids from Nazi camps meets them 50 years later

In 1939, British stockbroker Nicholas Winton, rescued 669 mostly-Jewish children from Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia. He kept it secret for over 40 years. In 1988, his wife discovered a scrapbook with all the children’s names. This video shows him reunited with them- in fact, the audience is full of people he saved, he doesn’t realize it until they stand up.

The operation was called Czech Kindertransport, and Winton’s been called the “British Schindler.” Read more here.
